The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
This four-hour professional development leadership course fulfills the training requirement contained in the Illinois School Code. Course content includes instruction in education and labor law; financial oversight and accountability; and fiduciary responsibilities. Every new school board member elected or appointed must complete this training within the first year of the first term. Also covered in this course is Performance Evaluation Reform Act (PERA) training, required for board members prior to voting on a dismissal based on an “optional alternative evaluation dismissal process for PERA evaluations.”
