The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Ensuring student achievement and preparing all students to be college and career ready is a central focus of our work as school board members. For students with advanced learning needs, this goal may look different. Join us for an overview of modern gifted education, which now emphasizes talent development and the support of any student capable of learning at an advanced level.
We’ll also examine Illinois laws, policies, and best practices that influence programming for advanced learners. Learn what to bring back to your district to inform board policies, strategic planning, and annual goal setting — ensuring that your advanced learners are appropriately challenged and supported in their growth.
